Brussels, 01/08/2001 (Agence Europe) - Bulgaria, Cyprus, Latvia, Malta, Slovenia and Slovakia became members of the European Environment Agency (EEA) on Wednesday. This is a first, as it is the first EU body which the countries candidates for accession to the European Union have joined.
