Brussels, 26/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has decided to allocate 3.2 million euro to implement a disaster prevention programme which will comprise projects earmarked for India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. This region of the world is particularly affected by natural disasters such as floods, landslides and earthquakes. The programme is an Echo initiative, the EU's Humanitarian Office.
