Countries of Central and Eastern Europe to apply visa ban affecting FYROM extremists

Brussels, 23/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - The countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Cyprus, Malta, Iceland and Norway share the objectives of the European Union's common position on the visa ban against extremists in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (see EUROPE of 16 July, p.6). They will ensure that their national policies are conform to this common position. The European Union welcomed this commitment.
