The Dutch newspaper publisher VNU announced the sale of a part of its magazines to the Finnish publishing group SANOMAWSOY (turnover of EUR 1.4 billion in 2000) for a total of EUR 1.25 billion. The transaction, which should be finalised at the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year, concerns some 250 magazines published in seven countries.
