05/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to Eurostat, industrial producer prices rose 0.2% in May in the Euro zone. They had risen 0.3% in April. Also in the Union (EU 15), prices rose 0.2% in May, and has also risen 0.2% in April. The development in the various sectors seen in the month of May was similar in the Euro zone and the EU 15. The capital goods index remained stable and durable consumer goods prices rose 0.1% (Euro zone and EU 15). The price for intermediary goods rose 0.4% in the Euro zone and 0.5% in the EU 15; those for non-durable consumer goods rose 0.2% in the Euro zone and 0.3% in the EU 15. The industrial producer prices rose in all the Member States with the exception of Italy.
