ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) packaging

France's PECHINEY is to buy the Brazilian firm MOPLASTIC (plastic injection for cosmetic product packaging; annual turnover of some 3.5 million euro with a workforce of 116) through its subsidiary TECHPACK INTERNATIONAL. In the first quarter of 2001, PECHINEY'S packaging business saw its consolidated sales increase by 18% to 590 million euro.
