FABRICUM, TRACTEBEL subsidiary, itself the energy subsidiary of France's SUEZ, has announced that it has paid 260 million euro for the Swiss SULZER INFRA (900 million turnover in 2000 with activities in Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Germany and Britain), subsidiary of the Swiss group SULZER. This operation concerns the three basic activities of SULZER INFRA, which are integrated solutions to building services, engineering contracting and infrastructure services, representing 90% of total INFRA SULZER sales. With this acquisition, FABRICOM will increase its turnover to some 6 bn euro and its workforce to 55,000.
