Brussels, 18/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's mini-session in Brussels early May will, as usual, begin with a communication from the European Commission, followed by questions and answers, on decisions taken that same day. Among the main topics of this session will be the EU/Fyrom Agreement (the EU's first Stabilisation and Association Agreement with a Balkans country, signed in Luxembourg on 9 April: see EUROPE of 9/10 April, pages 7 and 8), nuclear safety fifteen years after Chernobyl, the protection of the euro against counterfeiting (another initiative by a Member State, France, regarding Justice and Home Affairs), annual assessment of the implementation of the stability and convergence programmes of Member States, public access to the documents of EU institutions.
