Spain's largest media group PRISA (1.10 bn euro turnover in 2000, 80% of which in Spain), which notably publishes El Pais, has taken total control of EDITORA MODERNA, one of Brazil's largest publishing houses, for $73.4 million. Specialised in the field of education, EDITORIA MODERNA has a 60% stake in the publishing group or literature for the young SALAMANDRA.
