French defence electronics group THALES has announced the creation of a subsidiary fully dedicated to the provision of security services and solutions to institutional clients. It is called THALES SECURE SOLUTIONS. The subsidiary will be part of the THALES division for "information technologies and services" (ITS), which represents around 25% of the group's activities and which made a turnover of over EUR 2 billion in 2000.
