ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) plastic

Germany's KLOECKNER-WERKE, number one worldwide in the production of plastic films, has accepted a higher bid from the German holding company WCM. The latter, which presently owns 40% of the German chemical group, launched an initial bid on the remaining shares in late December. KLOECKNER-WERKE will continue its activities as a subsidiary of WCM. See EI of 22 December.
