08/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission approved according to the simplified procedure the merger of the following companies: CVC European Equity II Ltd, Advent International Corporation, Carlyle Europe Partners L.P and Lafarge Materiaux de Specialite. This operation poses not competition problems and has not necessitated, as a result, the opening of an initial phase of investigation.
