In Germany, DRESDNER BANK could be selling its 10% share in the insurance firm ALLIANZ, announced its President Bernd Fahrholz. He added, in an interview with the German daily Die Zeit, that "the new European Company statutes will foster transnational mergers, particularly in banking".
