The Dutch group PHILIPS has announced the acquisition of the American medical group AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES HEALTHCARE GROUP (turnover $1.05 billion for the first nine months of 2000), the subsidiary of AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES, for the sum of $1.7 billion. The group, as well as the ADAC laboratories, recently acquired by PHILIPS, will be integrated in PHILIPS MEDICAL SYSTEMS, the medial equipment division of PHILIPS, that will now make an annual turnover of over $4 billion.
