Committee of Regions assures it will adopt strategy by Christmas for providing practical assistance to local authorities of candidates in preparing for EU accession

Malta, 24/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of the Regions unfortunately tends to speak more than act, but it cannot be content with organising conferences, it must ensure these are followed up with action, admitted the Chairman of the Liaison Group of the Committee of the Regions with candidate countries, Lord Hanningfield.
