Commission authorises, with conditions, Siemens/Dematic/VDO/Sachs operation, but starts in-depth investigation into Rexroth/Bosch

Brussels, 30/08/2000 (Agence Europe) - As indicated yesterday, the European Commission handed down it ruling concerning two aspects of the same operation. On the one hand it authorised, with conditions attached, Siemens AG to take-over Dematic, VDO and Sachs, three subsidiaries of Mannesmann, but one the other hand, it opened an in-depth investigation into the take-over of Rexroth by Bosch, a subsidiary of Mannesmann, suspecting the non-compatibility of this operation with the common market....
