The French group MUTUELLES DU MANS ASSURANCES will sell its insurance Belgian activities that will be shared between the WINTERTHUR-BELGIQUE group and the NAVIGA. WINTERTHUR company will take the ASSURES REUNIS, a insurance company specialised in legal coverage whose premiums total BEF 350 million and which also owns a branch in the Netherlands. With this acquisition, ASSAR, Belgian subsidiary of the Swiss group will become the second largest in the Belgian market in legal coverage with a market share of 10.5%. As for NAVIGA, it is acquiring LE MANS ASSURANCES BELGIQUE, that mainly deals in car and fire insurance with premiums of BEF 735 million.
