Euro Group Finance Ministers release a reassuring statement noting that the exchange rate of the European currency is a "common concern"

Brussels, 08/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Euro 11 Finance Ministers expressed on Monday their "common concern" about the ongoing weakness of the euro in relation to the dollar. At the conclusion of a meeting of the "Euro 11", the Ministers released their first-ever statement, which was read to the press by Portugal's Finance Minister Joaquim Pina Moura, who chaired the meeting.
