Finland and Sweden stress priority of civilian crisis management

Helsinki, 03/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The Foreign Ministers of Finland and Sweden, Erkki Tuomioja and Anna Lindh, have announced in a joint statement that developing civilian crisis management should be one of the EU's top priorities in the coming years (this was the position defended by the Scandinavian countries in recent discussions on development of the ESDP, and these same two countries, Finland and Sweden, submitted proposals on EU crisis management during negotiation of the Treaty of...
