ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) paper

The Japanese paper producers NIPPON PAPER INDUSTRIES and DAISHOWA PAPER, respectively number two and four in the Japanese market have announced the creation of a joint holding in 2001 in which they will become the "sole owning subsidiaries". The cumulated turnover of these two partners reached YEN 1,220 billion at the year-end in March 1999.
