Confidential information on spending of groups is forwarded to Nicole Fontaine

Brussels, 29/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The president of the European Parliament transmitted, on Wednesday, to the presidents of the political groups the preliminary report by the Court of Auditors on spending by political groups for the previous legislature. Nicole Fontaine recalls that the Parliament has two and a half months in which to respond within the context of contradictory procedure, but it considers appropriate to complete this procedure as quickly as possible.
