Authorisation of a joint venture for manufacture of car parts in South Africa

Brussels, 07/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the creation of a joint venture, AIBC, between AI group (owned by the South African company DFI) and the German car part maker, ZF Friedrichshafen, and the Italian, Brembo. AIBC will produce parts of the South African motor vehicle industry. The Commission believes that the operation will not effect the car parts market in the European economic area.
