Commission investigates certain Belgian practices relating to Austria, Austrian Government examining possibility of proceedings before the Court of Justice

Brussels, 06/03/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is examining Belgium's conduct towards Austria. The practices in question are not formal government decisions, but regional decisions or the actions of professional groups that could be discriminatory in nature and therefore incompatible with Community rules.
