The American chemical group MONSANTO will be selling its natural edible gum division, KELCO, for USD 685 million to a joint venture owned by fellow US chemicals group HERCULES and LEHMAN BROTHERS bank. The division will be consolidated into the joint venture's existing gum activities and is expected to increase its turnover to more than USD 450 million.
