Brussels, 18/02/2000 (Agence Europe) - A series of visits by Heads of State or Government of European Union Member States to the European Commission are scheduled in the coming weeks, other than the one already announced by Austrian President Thomas Klestil, on 8 March (see above).
Thus, Wednesday 23 February, British Prime Minister Tony Blair will make an official visit to the Commission, where he will meet President Prodi and the College as a whole.
Thursday 24 February, Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema will be in Brussels, but for a simple private meeting with Romano Prodi.
Finally, on 7 March, the President of the Italian Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi will make an official visit to the European Commission.
