French group ALTRAD (turnover FF 606 million for the financial year ending 31 August 1999) is to strengthen its leading place worldwide on the concrete market with the acquisition, for FF 3 million, of Polish company SPOMASZ (annual turnover about EUR 4.57 million with annual production of 18,000 cement mixers and 200 employed), privatised by the Polish government.
