Spanish group TELEFÓNICA is to bid (public exchange) for 100% of the capital of four large subsidiaries in Latin America, namely TELEFÓNICA DE ARGENTINA, TELEFÓNICA DEL PERÚ, TELESP and TELESUDESTE CELULAR, of which it is already a minority shareholder. These operators cover over 13 million fixed lines, over 3 million clients in mobile telephony and an overall turnover of EUR 6.7 billion. The total value of these operations is close to EUR 23 billion.
