Industrialist and consumer confidence in the economic evolution of most Member States

Brussels, 07/01/2000 (Agence Europe) - the first results from the study on consumer and industrial confidence in EU countries in December 1999 carried out by the European Commission services (results that will be followed by an in-depth analysis) show a slight increase of the composite consumer confidence indicator when compared to November. This is an increase of 0.1 points in the Euro-zone and 0.4 points in the EU as a whole. Country by country it is of 1.1 points for Finland, 0.6 points...
