The South Korean Government has announced that the American group GENERAL ELECTRIC and Swiss-Swedish ABB will, by end-April, share a 25% stake in KOREA HEAVY INDUSTRIES AND CONSTRUCTION (HANJUNG) in the framework of the latter's privatisation. HANJUNG, which builds electricity production equipment and ship engines had a $2.11 bn turnover in 1998.
