ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The HYPOVEREINSBANK and the DRESDNER BANK respectively second and third largest private bank in Germany, negotiated a merger, according to the Munchner Merkur. According to the daily, members of the surveillance council have already given the "go-ahead to the merger of activities". In case of a complete fusion, the new company will be on of the world's largest.
