The Spanish operator TELEFONICA will take back the 25.5% stake in the holding CEI-CITICORP EQUITY INVESTMENT (the American investment group HICKS, MUSE, TATE & FURST) in its Argentine subsidiary TELEFONICA DE ARGENTINA of which it take control with 51% of the capital. In exchange CEI will take part of the Spanish operators capital (between 3 and 5% according to Spanish press) for roughly USD 4 billion.
