European Commission rules out any risk of systemic shortage of kerosene at present

17/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Friday, 17 April, the European Commission dismissed fears of there potentially being an immediate kerosene shortage due to the war in Iran and the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. The previous day, International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol had warned that there was a risk of a shortage within six weeks.
