MEPs in parliamentary committee approve regulation on gas storage

26/06/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 26 June, the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) adopted the revision and extension of the regulation on gas storage, including new flexibilities for Member States (47 votes in favour, 8 against and no abstentions). Only the ESN and Patriots for Europe groups, and one non-attached MEP did not support the text. It will now have to be put to the vote at the July plenary session.
