MEPs approve their negotiating position on revision of River Information Services Directive

18/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 18 March, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) approved their negotiating position on the revision of the River Information Services (RIS) Directive by 37 votes to 2 (see EUROPE B13601A21). They also agreed, by 36 votes to 2, to begin discussions with the Member States on the final form of the text, once the report has been approved at the April plenary session.
