Canada and EU want to work more closely together to strengthen clean energy supply chains

13/03/2025 (Agence Europe)On Tuesday 11 March in Houston (see EUROPE 13598/13), senior officials from Natural Resources Canada and the European Commission, Associate Deputy Minister Jeff Labonté and Director-General Ditte Juul Jørgensen, reaffirmed their commitment to revitalising exchanges as part of the EU-Canada High-Level Energy Dialogue. They approved the main areas of cooperation; to boost bilateral trade in energy and energy technologies, enhance energy security and accelerate the clean energy transition. Building on past collaboration, including the Canada-European Union Summit 2023, they agreed to strengthen clean energy supply chains in the future, advance mutual priorities in global fora such as the G7, and support Ukraine.
