04/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 4 March, the European Commission’s Executive Vice-President for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition, Teresa Ribera, hosted her first Youth Policy Dialogue, entitled ‘Empowering Young Talent and Improving Gender Balance in the EU’. According to a press release from the Commission, 14 young Europeans, winners of DG Competition’s Student Challenges, and students from other EU universities, discussed with the Commissioner the impact on young people, particularly young women, of the Commission’s policies aimed at ensuring just ecological and economic transition. This dialogue is part of the Youth Policy Dialogues initiative, a programme launched during the European Year of Youth 2022, which gives young people the opportunity to exchange views with European Commissioners on the EU’s major policy orientations, with a view to strengthening their democratic participation and integrating their concerns into the development of public policies.
