14/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – Representatives of the European Parliament and the Member States are aiming on Wednesday 19 February to reach an interinstitutional political agreement on the proposal for a regulation establishing a €1.8 billion ‘Moldova Reform and Growth Facility’ for the period 2025-2027 (see EUROPE 13569/18). MEPs are still hoping to get the EU Council to increase the amount of pre-financing that will be available. The Member States had limited this possibility to 7% of the total envelope, such as macro-financial aid to Ukraine, whereas MEPs were in favour of 20%. (MB)
