07/02/2025 (Agence Europe) – A delegation of six MEPs will be part of the EU Election Observation Mission to Kosovo to monitor the parliamentary elections scheduled for Sunday, 9 February. In their capacity as observers, the MEPs will be on site from 7 to 11 [February] to ensure that the elections “comply with Kosovo law as well as with international standards”. Six MEPs are part of the delegation: Marta Temido (S&D, Portuguese), Davor Ivo Stier (EPP, Croatian), Elio Di Rupo (S&D, Belgian), Cecilia Strada (S&D, Italian), Matthieu Valet (PfE, French), and Hans Neuhoff (ESN, German). Besides observing the elections, the MEPs are expected to meet and speak with local administrators and members of civil society. (IS)
