European Commissioner Apóstolos Tzitzikóstas commits to implementing strategy to promote sustainability in sector

Apóstolos Tzitzikóstas, the European Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism, made a commitment at the European Parliament on Tuesday 10 December to put in place a sustainable tourism strategy to help the sector adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change.

He met ten major European travel and tourism organisations, MEP Daniel Attard (S&D, Maltese) and other members of the Tourism Task Force, as well as representatives of the Commission and EU Member States. This...
