Revised Air Quality Directive comes into force, and Member States have two years to transpose into national law

21/11/24 (Agence Europe) – The revised Air Quality Directive was promulgated with its publication in the Official Journal of the EU on Wednesday 20 November, following its formal adoption by the EU Council on 14 October. The directive establishes updated air quality standards for the whole of the EU(see EUROPE B13355A9). The revision should contribute to the objective of eliminating air pollution by 2050. Deriving from the European Green Deal, the text sets new air quality standards...
