Political agreement within sight in EU Council on legislative package on value added tax in digital age

European finance ministers are expected to reach a unanimous political agreement at the Ecofin Council on Tuesday 5 November on the legislative package on value added tax (VAT) in the digital age (ViDA).

This set of texts (see EUROPE B13516A4, B13515A18) includes three proposals: - single registration; - the exchange of information based on electronic invoicing; - digital platforms. The Member States reached agreement on the first two points in May, but Estonia vetoed the last one (see...
