In its ‘Winter Supply Outlook 2024/2025’ the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) highlighted the EU’s high level of storage, reaching 94% of capacity (1,083 TWh) on 1 October 2024, which is comparable to what the EU experienced last year, due to the fall in gas consumption over the years and the specific measures introduced by the Member States.
