EU grants €45 million for health autonomy and fight against Mpox in Africa

16/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 16 October, during a visit to a vaccine factory in Diamniadio (Senegal), the European Commissioner for International Partnerships, Jutta Urpilainen, announced a new €25 million grant for the pharmaceutical ecosystem. The funding has been allocated via Team Europe(see EUROPE B13504A5), which aims to support “Africa’s health autonomy and global health security”, the Commissioner said on X.
