Jozef Síkela asserts that capacity of Czech transmission system can replace Russian gas imports transiting through Ukraine

The Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Jozef Síkela, sent a letter to the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, on Thursday 5 September, in reaction to the expiry of the gas transit agreement between Russia and Ukraine at the end of the year (see EUROPE B13471A12), as revealed in a press release from the Czech Ministry.
