28/08/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 27 August, the European Union’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport, Erasmus+, announced the selection of 72 international cooperation projects in the field of vocational education and training (VET), with total funding of over €26 million. These projects, selected from 78 countries, are among a record 278 proposals. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of VET systems around the world, in particular by improving the quality, accessibility and relevance of training. Among the projects selected are programmes on the blue economy in Colombia and Chile, sustainable forest management in Africa and the modernisation of training in the construction sector in Ukraine.
