On Friday 12 July, the Renew Europe parliamentary group finished drafting its priorities for the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, who is standing for re-election by the European Parliament on 18 July (see EUROPE B13450A7).
Divided into four priority areas, the document focuses first and foremost on the fight to promote democracy, the rule of law and the Union’s values.
