On Wednesday 10 July, China finally announced that it had opened its investigation into the EU’s regulation to tackle unfair foreign subsidies (FSR). A few days earlier, it had indicated that it would examine the request for an investigation submitted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in June 2024.
Under the FSR Regulation, the European Commission has already initiated or prepared five investigations against Chinese companies.
