EU Council extends temporary protection granted to 4.2 million Ukrainians in EU until March 2026

25/06/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 25 June, the EU Council adopted a decision to extend temporary protection until 4 March 2026 for more than 4 million Ukrainians who are fleeing Russia's war of aggression. The temporary protection mechanism was triggered on 4 March 2022 and was due to last until 4 March 2025 after several extensions.
