European Commission proposes technical amendment to EU/Mauritania fisheries agreement

On Tuesday 18 June, the European Commission adopted a proposal to make a technical amendment to Regulation 2021/2061 on the allocation of the fishing opportunities provided for in the Protocol implementing the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

The duration of the implementation protocol is five years from its provisional application, i.e. until 15 November 2026 (see EUROPE B13410A36). The EU fleet is authorised...
