Fall in electricity and gas bills in second half of 2023, according to Eurostat

In the second half of 2023, electricity and gas bills for EU households fell after an increase that began before the war in Ukraine, Eurostat reported on Thursday 25 April.

Average electricity prices for households have fallen (€28.5 per 100 kWh) compared with the first half of 2023 (€29.4 per 100 kWh), and have risen slightly compared with the second half of 2022 (€28.4 per 100 kWh).

Average gas prices have fallen (€11.3 per 100 kWh) compared with the first half of 2023...
